Keep It In Colorado is a business built from small local business. Our mission is to promote, support and feature locally owned and operated Colorado companies. Our search criteria includes everything from the mom and pop restaurant down the street, the funky clothing boutique to the local marketing firm. What you will find here are traditional small businesses, operated by our neighbors, friends and families. Community growth is dependent on community dollars. Trevor Elsen – Founder/CEO
As a Colorado native, I grew up in a hard working family, where my dad became a small business owner after his service in the Navy. That hard work and dedication not only to his profession and family but his country inspired me to join the Air Force after high school and find my own inspiration. I served as a firefighter for the Air Force and soon took over the family business to give my dad the break he deserved!
By working with my dad in the summers and then taking over the entire business, I grew a great passion and true admiration for small business owners. The struggles, achievements and pride of small business ownership inspired my dream of starting my own company that sole purpose is to support, market and advertise for locally owned and operated businesses in Colorado. Our company is about community and doing all we can to keep our dollars in our neighbors, boosting our own economies.
We focus on fundraising and charity efforts as well, because supporting community is not just about business, it’s about our neighbors, friends and family too.
